Paul Bingham, Hero coach driver rescued 59 school children and 7 teachers from burning bus

The double-decker had been carrying 59 pupils and seven teaches when the bus burst into flames

A coach driver has spoken of the moment he helped rescue dozens of schoolchildren from a burning bus on the motorway.

Paul Bingham, 44, was heading back from the Midlands to his depot in Wigan when he spotted the vehicle going up in flames on the hard-shoulder of the M6 on Monday afternoon.

The double decker bus which was carrying 59 primary school pupils and seven of their teachers had set alight after breaking down.
