Shanika Minor, 24, was added this week to the FBI’s notorious “Top Ten Most Wanted” fugitives list. The FBI Milwaukee announced the arrest Friday.
Minor is suspected of murdering Tamecca Perry, 23, her mother’s neighbor over a loud music complaint. The murder occurred after a March 5 confrontation she had with the Perry, where she brandished a firearm and threatened Perry who was nine months pregnant.
Minor’s mother told her that Perry had been playing loud music at an unreasonable hour. On March 5, investigators say Minor confronted Perry near her home, but Minor’s mother de-escalated the situation. Minor allegedly brandished a firearm and fired a round into the air, she felt Perry was “disrespecting her family.”
Minor returned to the duplex just before 3am the next day and confronted Perry again at the back door of her home.
Once again Minor’s mother tried to ‘calm things down’, telling her daughter to leave and trying to prevent her daughter from getting inside the building. She tried to push Minor outside, telling her daughter that Perry was nine months pregnant.
Mother of two Tamecca Perry was due to have her third baby when her neighbor’s daughter, Shanika Minor, shot her dead . Her unborn child died too.

Police said Perry went back into her home, where she collapsed and died in front of her two children.
Minor fled the scene in a vehicle, while both her mother and Perry’s boyfriend called 911.

‘She had many opportunities to put the gun down. Her mother intervened several times to try to prevent what was a ridiculous reason to think of murdering someone.’
Perry’s boyfriend and two children witnessed the murder. Her boyfriend said he had to stop her son and daughter from running to their mother as she was killed.
Minor was the only woman on the FBI’s list and a $100,000 reward was offered for information leading up to her capture in Fayetteville, North Carolina on Friday morning.
