Mr Kerslake was continually abused between the ages of five and ten by a family friend, but finally summoned the courage to go to the police in 1998.
His abuser was jailed for three years, and he was paid £175,000 by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.
He established the Andrew Kerslake Trust, and the fund has grown to almost £250,000.
After he received the compensation, Kerslake,  says that the compensation is ‘dirty money’ and has placed it into a trust that will be donated to a charity when he dies, but ex-wife Helen Tippett, has now applied to the courts for a share of the money,  which her suit listed as ‘a marital asset’.
If her claim is accepted, it would be the first time sex abuse compensation has been part of a divorce settlement, his lawyers say.

Mr Kerslake was molested between the ages of five and ten by a family friend. After he finally went to the police in 1998 his abuser was jailed for three years. A furious Andrew calls her attempts to grab some of the compensation money   “shameless” and “immoral” .
Re-living the nightmare ,  Mr Kerslake, who has waived his right to anonymity as a victim of sexual abuse, said:
‘I was given the money to compensate for what happened to me when I was a very young boy.
‘I was abused over 500 times, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. It left me with both physical and emotional damage.

Helen has a new boyfriend, Jarrod Williams. Lawyers say that if Helens claim was accepted, it would be the first time sex abuse compensation was part of a divorce settlement

‘I didn’t apply for the money, I didn’t really want it at the time. But I’m not prepared to hand it over as part of our divorce settlement.
‘It doesn’t seem right that my ex-wife should get a penny of it – it does not belong to her, she wasn’t the one who was abused.
‘It is shameless and immoral that she is even trying. I’m very disappointed in her.’
Helen appears to have moved on thought to be living in with her toy-boy 11 years her junior, who has been accompanying her to court. She however denies living in with her new boyfriend
