Trayvon Lee also known as Truz, and the manager of slain Baltimore rapper Tyriece Watson also known as Lor Scoota was killed on Wednesday July 6, 2016.
Barely 10 days ago Baltimore rapper Lor Scoota was shot and killed in what Baltimore Police Chief Davis, described as “brazen murder in broad daylight” while leaving an anti-gun violence rally at Morgan State University.
Wednesday, Scoota’s manager Trayvon Lee, was executed in a similar manner.
Lee, 29, who was mourning the loss of his artist and friend, died July 6 from two gunshot wounds to the chest. he was when shot just steps from his Baltimore home, while his little sisteron the stoop watched.
Chino Braxton, artist and dirt bike rider signed to Meek Mills Dream Chasers Record label and brother of Trayvon Lee. Was shot twice in the head in February
Lee’s family, it would appear, has been caught in the crosshairs of retaliatory strikes between associates and rival groups in the city. Lee’s brother Pachino (Chino) Braxton, a famous rapper and dirt bike rider signed to rapper Meek Mill’s Dream Chasers record label, just survived being shot with two bullets to the head in February.
In a series of tweets posted early Thursday morning Braxton wrote: “My lil’ sister was standing at the door when I got shot in my head … She was standing in the door when her other brother lost his life! They tell us to keep it real but kills us. ”
T.J. Smith, Director of Communications for the Baltimore PD, suggested that Scoota’s murder, the attack on Pachino and now Lee’s death were all in retaliation for a violent act committed by one of Scoota’s associates.
Baltimore rapper Lor Scoota was shot and killed on June 25 after leaving a charity basketball game
Smith stated: “Lor Scoota associated with some people who didn’t have the best character. Someone he associated with committed an act of violence. Whoever committed that act of violence may have been close to Lor Scoota and the bad guys knew that so they killed Scoota,” Smith said.
During the press coference Smith said, the shooting of Braxton, the murder of Scoota and the murder of Lee could be part of Baltimore’s “tennis match of violence” culture, where one crime leads to a cycle of retaliation style murders.
“It is not normal for several member of one family to be victims of such violent crime like this,” Smith said.
The BPD spokesperson dispelled rumors that the deaths of Lee and Scoota were rap related. Instead he appealed to those “in the game” to step forward so that they can finally name suspects in the case.
In a recent interview, Chino had this to say “Everyone in Baltimore is for themselves. No one here wants to see you shine. We’re labeled as crabs here. Crabs pull you back down in the pot,” said Braxton in a recent interview.
