Dayonte Resiles, who escaped from a Florida courtroom writes an apology to judge, says he needed to gather evidence for murder trial: ‘I hope you don’t take it personal
The inmate was awaiting trial for the 2014 murder of Jill Halliburton Su 
Resiles, escaped the Broward County, Fl courthouse July 15, after leaving behind his handcuffs and jumpsuit, he was captured 6 days later

7 people including his girlfriend,  girlfriend Laquay Stern, another inmate and 3 friends present in court were arrested for planning and aiding the escape
He’s facing possible death sentence for killing Halliburton Su during the ill-fated home robbery

The bag man and  get-away driver: Winston Russell Jr and Resiles’ girlfriend, Laquay Dionta Stern, were picked up by police as alleged accomplices to a Broward inmate’s escape from the courthouse.
“Safe to say now, I have received enough attention and people will believe in my innocence,” he said, without commenting further on the evidence he claimed he was looking for.
Resiles faces murder charges for the 2014 slaying of Jill Halliburton Su. Officials said the suspect broke into her Davie home, stabbed her to death and then robbed the house.
If convicted, he could face the death penalty.
