The female music teacher told a judge her 17-year-old student tricked her into sex ‘like a used car salesman’.
Gunn, 54, who taught at Gwinnett High School in Atlanta, Georgia, had been arrested and charged with one count of sexual assault and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
While she initially conceded that she made a poor decision, Gunn changed her tone on Friday when she told a judge her student had forced himself onto her, the Atlantic Journal Constitution reported.
‘He did, he was like a used car salesman,’ she told the court.
But the judge was not swayed by her statement and sentenced her to 90 days in jail and ten years probation.
‘I don’t find that you’re the kind of person that needs to be warehoused for years,’ Davis said.
‘We get those cases and we get them out of society as long as we can. You’re not one of those.
‘But you clearly betrayed the trust that you had of parents, this parent, putting this child in your care.’

The former high school teacher resigned from her job at South Gwinnett High School,  on April 19, 2016. The next day the alleged victim’s mother called police to inform them of the inappropriate relationship.

The mother had found details of her son’s relationship with his teacher in his journal. The two met up for sex at school, at Gunn’s home and at Lenora Park.
She then alerted investigators that he started sleeping with Gunn in March, but that the relationship had since ended.
During the course of the police investigation,  cops learned that Gunn also held a party at her house in Grayson and that she let the boy and two female students smoke marijuana under her direct supervision.
Gunn also reportedly smoked marijuana during that party.
She was arrested in March after turning herself into authorities. She was also accused of letting the 17-year-old boy and two female students smoke marijuana at her house.
She spent just a few hours in jail, bonding out early Saturday morning on $21,700 bail. Gunn was initially charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, but was not indicted on those  charges, AJC reported.

This is the fourth time this school year that a Gwinnett County Public Schools teacher has been arrested for sex-related charges.  Michael Henderson had to resign in June after he was accused of having a sexual relationship with his student.
Another long-term substitute teacher, Derren Justin Evans, was charged with sexual assault after a student told police that he groped and forced her to kiss him. She also claims he asked her to send nude photos of herself on Snapchat.
‘We take allegations like this very seriously, the safety of our students is a priority,’ Gwinnett County Public Schools spokesman Bernard Watson said in a statement on Monday.
‘When we learned about the allegations against Ms. Gunn, we investigated them immediately.
‘During the course of that investigation, Ms. Gunn resigned. The matter is now in the hands of police and prosecutors and we are confident that the case will be handled in the appropriate manner.’
