Is teen mom Tia Jade Edwards going to get justice second time around as she posts images of second brutal attack in a year – Will the Welsh authorities prosecute the culprits this time around?

Last May  16-year-old Tia Jade Edwards posted images of terrible injuries on social media, injuries sustained from a severe stomping at a party

The beating was allegedly delivered by a young man and two 37-year-old women. Prosecutors didn’t press charges against her alleged assailants because there wasn’t enough evidence for a “realistic prospect of conviction”

Recently, a 17-year-old Tia suffered an even more brutal attack, the second in a year

Her injurirs include a broken nose and possible damage to her eye socket in the attack that may require extensive medical treatment

Recent battering occurred a year after learning charges would not be pressed over a previous beating, in which she suffered a black eye, cuts and swollen lip

Tia Jade Edwards posted this shocking image of the stomach churning injuries she sustained after she was beaten up,  for the second time in a year.
Edwards, 17, suffered a broken nose and possible damage to her eye socket in the attack, almost exactly a year after she learned no-one would be prosecuted over a previous beating, in which she suffered a black eye, cuts and swollen lips. In the first incidence,
North Wales Police had questioned two women, both aged 37, and a youth in relation to the previous incident but the Crown Prosecution Service said there was insufficient evidence to secure a conviction .

Shocking pictures of Jade’s injuries sparked a furious reaction from hundreds of readers calling for justice for Tia. Her guardian fumed “The evidence is all over Facebook, yet they told me they couldn’t use any of the evidence on Facebook.”
“If someone gets away with this they can do it again.”
Recalling the latest incident, a family member said Tia was in a “terrible state” when police were called to an address in Colwyn Bay after this Friday’s alleged attack, which is believed to have taken place before 10pm.
The relative said Tia, who is said to be extremely upset and at home recovering with relatives, could require further hospital treatment.
The college student was admitted for medical treatment following the assault.
She may need surgery on a broken nose and there are concerns about her eye socket andtia-jade-edwards4

Tia has an eight-month-old daughter who was staying with relatives at the time.
The family say a man has been arrested following the incident, but North Wales Police have yet to confirm the arrest.
In July last year, Tia was attacked at a house party and photos she posted on Facebook sparked outrage from many people who called for justice fro the teen., in the face of seeming official inertia.

Welsh Crown Prosecution Services said there was not enough evidence to pursue a conviction after Tia suffered these injuries last year

The reluctance of both the Welsh police and Crown Prosecution Service to press charges left Tia’s guardian Alison Faulds, infuriated at the time:
“I am fuming. She is a 16 year-old girl and it’s not like she did it to herself.
“Tia is fuming as well because justice has failed.
“If someone gets away with this they can do it again.
“The evidence is all over Facebook, yet they told me they couldn’t use any of the evidence on Facebook.”
A spokesman for the Crown Prosecution Service said at the time: “Having considered the available evidence in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors, we concluded that there is insufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction in this case.”

Caught in the act by surveillance camera, charged with second-degree arson

A 19-year-old Florida woman Carmen Chamblee,  has been arrested after she attempted to get revenge on her ex-boyfriend by setting fire to his car. However, she set the wrong car ablaze.

“I have no idea who she is,” former automobile owner Thomas Jennings told a local TV station. Jennings greeted by the sight of his burning car when he came out of his residence at the urging of his alarmed roommate.
“I’ve never seen her in my life,” he said.
Chamblee allegedly stuck a rag in the car’s gas tank and set it on fire. She may have also used a flammable liquid as accelerant for the arson to the white Honda Civic.
Witnesses told investigators she left the scene on a bicycle. A couple of days later, police released video of a woman with a purse slung over her arm feeding the flames.Carmen Chamberlee sets car ablaze2.jpg

Fort Worth, Texas police say Jose Ernesto Ramos, 40, would force the male victim to have sex with his 31-year-old wife Annetta, while he watched and ‘coached’. Likewise, say police, Jose raped the female victim while his wife instructed and sometimes forced the girl to perform sex acts on her husband. It’s unclear whether the victims are the Ramoses son and daughter.
The alleged abuse, which ran the course of years,  occurred at the couple’s home in south Fort Worth. Annetta Ramos is accused of “watching, coaching and instructing” the female victim on how to perform sexual acts on Jose Ramos and forcing the girl to comply.

Jose Ramos on the other hand, is accused of “watching, coaching and instructing” the boy on how to perform sex acts on Annetta Ramos and participating in the acts. Jose Ramos is also accused of sexually assaulting the girl.

The abuse had allegedly been going on for years before one of the children,  by then in their teens, told  a friend in December 2014. That friend alerted a high school counselor, which led Fort Worth police and Child Protective Services to get involved.
In an interview with CPS that same month, the female victim said Jose Ramos would order her to have sex with him. If she resisted, he threatened to hit her or physically grabbed her, the affidavit states.

According to the affidavit filed by the teens, the boy said Jose Ramos made him engage in sexual acts with his wife, Annetta Ramos. That Jose Ramos remained in the room during the encounters, instructing him as it occurred. He also states that Annetta Ramos stopped sexual contact with him when he was about 13 or 14 because she decided she didn’t want to do it anymore, threatening to leave her husband if the affair continued.
The teen boy told CPS that he had decided to step forward about the abuse after the female victim told him that Jose Ramos intended to have another man have sex with her.
Jose actually confessed to some of the crimes in an interview with a detective from the Crimes Against Children unit, but that detective never got a warrant for the couple’s arrest. That detective, Dennis Hutchins, has since been fired from the unit for mishandling a series of cases.

Jose Ramos owned up to most of the charges in 2014 to Forthworth Detective Dennis Hutchins, but Hutchins never got a warrant for the couple’s arrest. He was fired in July for mishandling a series of cases

A new detective who took over the case arrested the couple on Wednesday, charging each with one count of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14 and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14.
Both were being held at the Tarrant County Jail on Thursday, in lieu of $500,000 bail each.
According to the arrest affidavit, Jose watched, instructed and participated as the male victim performed sex acts on his wife and he also sexually assaulted the female victim.

Police say Annetta watched and coached the female victim as she performed sex acts on Joe, sometimes forcing the girl to perform the sex acts.
When the female victim was interviewed by police, she said Jose would force her to have sex with him and would hit or grab her if she refused.
The boy said Jose watched him perform sex acts with Annetta and instruct him.
He says Annetta stopped having sex with him when he was 13 or 14 years old and told her husband she’s leave him if he forced her continue.
While that abuse stopped, Jose told Detective Hutchins during his interview in 2014 that he continued to rape the female victim unbeknownst to his wife.

Jose reportedly confessed to some of the abuse when he agreed to come in for a voluntary interview with Detective Hutchins in 2014.
In the videotaped interview, Jose said that ‘quite a bit’ of the allegations were true and that ‘he planned on pleading guilty’. He reportedly admitted to having vaginal, anal and oral sex with the girl victim multiple times over the years.
In a separate interview, Annetta admitted to watching her husband rape the girl but she insisted that it was consensual sex.

The Ramoses both served in the Navy, as Seabees construction workers. Annetta (left) ended her service in 2008 while her husband (right) was in the Navy until 2011

‘The suspect states that there was nothing forceful, that it was gentle. The suspect states that it was not rape or forceful,’ the affidavit says.
On her her part, Annetta has not confessed to raping the male victim.

Despite the admission of guilt from the couple, Detective Hutchins failed to arrest the couple. Naval Criminal Investigative Service agents learned of the investigation in January 2015, and called Hutchins two months later to follow up about the case.
Hutchins told the NCIS agents that the case was pending review by prosecutors.
In June 2016, NCIS agents called yet again to follow up on the case, and Hutchins promised to confer with the DA’s office and call them back, but he never did.
Hutchins was fired from the department in July for this and a series of other cases in which he allowed ‘multiple offenders’ to avoid prosecution.

Jose and Annetta Ramos are being held at the Tarrant County Jail on $500,000 bail each

‘In an internal affairs interview, Detective Hutchins stated he “set the case aside” and was waiting to confer with an additional prosecutor with the Tarrant County district attorney’s office,’ his termination letter states. ‘In the same interview, Detective Hutchins agreed that from March of 2015 to March of 2016, he never made any additional attempts to contact the Tarrant County district attorney’s office or conduct any further investigation in the case.’
Hutchins is currently appealing his termination, claiming the department was severely understaffed and that he ‘hit a point of burnout’.
The Ramoses both served in the Seabees, the Navy’s construction battalion.
Jose was in the Navy from 1995 until 2011, while his wife served from 2004 to 2008.

A 31-year-old Scots woman has been evicted from her rented apartment after her horrified neighbour heard her having ‘loud sex ‘ with a pubgoer outside her front door.
Claire Blacklaw, was caught drunkenly romping with her friend John Kirkland, by her stunned landlord after he received a complaint from the neighbour.

The landlord arrived at the block of flats in Lanarkshire, Scotland, to find the couple naked and having sexual intercourse on a public landing.

Kirkland and Blacklaw, neighbour hearing the couple's groans, called the landlord1
Blacklaw and Kirkland were both arrested and fined for committing  public indecency in the common areas of the property

Blacklaw and Kirkland were both arrested and fined for committing public indecency at the property in Hamilton earlier this year. She was also evicted from the building due to the due to the incident.
Blacklaw met up with Kirkland in a pub on the night of January 28, before the pair made their way back to her home less than an hour later.
When they got to the entrance of the black of flats, Blacklaw told her companion she wanted to have sex in the common close area, a court heard. Kirkland asked her to go into the flat, but eventually gave into her pleas.

A shocked neighbour heard the couple’s groans from inside her flat and called the landlord, who arrived to find them having sex on the landing.
Police officers were called to the scene and the pair were arrested.
Blacklaw and Kirkland appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court, where they admitted an offence of public indecency by removing their clothes and having sexual intercourse within the common close.

Blacklaw was fined £140, while Kirkland, a chef, also of Hamilton, was ordered to pay £200.

Reading the complaint, the prosecutor, Gillian Bradshaw told the court:
“At 9.30pm, the witness was in her flat at the locus and overheard her neighbour, Miss Blacklaw, talking with a male in the common close
“She formed the opinion she was very drunk as she was being very loud.
“She heard Miss Blacklaw ask the male to have sex in the common close.
“The male was insisting on making their way into the flat but Miss Blacklaw insisted that they remain in the close.
“The neighbour heard the accused begin to have sex and decided to contact the landlord.
“The landlord arrived and made his way to the top of the landing, where he could hear the accused having sex.
“When he got to the landing both the accused were naked and having sexual intercourse.
Blacklaw is said to have ‘no recollection’ of the incident due to alcohol

Blacklaw claims to have ‘no recollection’ of the incident due to alcohol

“He contacted the police and by the time officers arrived both the accused were fully dressed.
“They were detained and made no reply to caution and charge.”
Kenneth Greener, defending Blacklaw, said: “She is a first offender in every sense of the word and she can’t begin to describe her embarrassment at this.
“She went to the pub at 8.30pm and by 10pm this incident was being reported to police.
“Alcohol took hold very quickly and she has absolutely no recollection of this incident. There is no sense to it given it was right outside her own house.
“She had an overnight spell in custody and also lost her tenancy as a result of this. It is not an offence that is going to be repeated.”
Jackson Bateman, defending Kirkland, said: “He is thoroughly embarrassed by this entire incident.
“He fully acknowledges his behaviour is completely unacceptable.
“He is a chef to trade and he has just completed a stint working at a caravan park.”
Sentencing the pair, Sheriff Ray Small told them: “I don’t think there is anything that I can do that will add to your own embarrassment at this incident being raised in public.”

Bride to be killed herself trying to get halfway to heaven: Jazmine Howarth, 25, died trying to get halfway to heaven thinking she could ‘control’ death, return to the land of the living- death by misadventure

Jazmine Howarth, 25, from Radcliffe, Greater Manchester, claimed she could ‘control’ death say a last goodbye to her late friend Dionne Corbett, before returning ‘to the land of the living’.

She thought she could control death and control the journey to the great beyond. Jazmine  wanted to see Dionne Corbett before returning ‘to the land of the living’.

…best friends forever

Jazmine  and Dionne had been best friends since they were toddlers and had spoken about wanting to get pregnant at the same time so they could ‘go through it all together’.

‘They classed each other as sisters, one wouldn’t do without the other. She broke down crying saying, “yeh but I promised I would go and get her”. –  Brendan Cawley, Jazmine’s fiance told the inquest

‘She said that she wanted to go and see her, go halfway to make sure she was all right. Two days before she died I woke up in the middle of the night and looked at Jazmine, she was writing on a piece of paper, I said “what are you doing”.

‘She said “nothing it’s stupid”. I thought in my head that it must be something to do with Dionne.’ She had suffered from depression and had written letters saying she wanted to see Dionne, also 25, ‘for one last time’ so she could ‘carry on with her life’.

Brendan Cawley, said at the time of the incident a TV signal had been tuning in and out.. He added: ‘Jazmine said ‘I’m writing the words down because it could be Dionne telling me something’.’

‘We actually thought that she was much more settled than she had been in a long time. Obviously when her friend Dionne died she was absolutely devastated and the day before Jazmine took her own life she went to say goodbye to Dionne in the chapel with her mum. But there was no indication to her mum that she was thinking of joining her. – Her aunt Michelle Howarth said

jazzJazmine  Howarth

‘The letter to her mum indicated that what ever she intended to do she thought she could control it. She was very much planning for the funeral, she was looking at reading, planning for that. I know nobody ever expects it but we weren’t – it wasn’t even on our radar.’

On the day of Jazmine’s death, Mr Cawley said they had argued and she ran away from the house, locking the door behind her.

He found her body as he went looking for her. Mr Cawley added: ‘I think she kind of expected me to save her.’

Coroner’s Conclusion – death by misadventure

The coroner Lisa Hashmi, recorded a conclusion of death by misadventure, she was not satisfied Jazmine had intended to kill herself.

‘I have no doubt that the loss of her close and very dear friend in very tragic circumstances would have had a profound effect. She attended the chapel of rest to say her goodbyes. I believe she would have found that cathartic.

‘They had been of course very close, described as sisterly. Both had had conversations about what the other would do if one lost another, it may have underpinned her actions, but I could not say for sure what bearing, if any it had.’

‘What I can’t ignore are the letters, whilst it may be that some of them were drafted in the days before her death, described as a superstitious belief in Jazmine’s mind, a number of letters were found that suggested that Jazmine wanted to speak to Dionne for one last time.

‘That she believed she could meet Dionne and return to the land of living. What I believe was a failure to appreciate how quick one could die.

‘She had a mistaken belief that she could just pass beyond and return. Quite clearly that was a mistake on her part. It’s probably the naivety of youth that resulted in her sad, tragic and untimely death.’

“The surgery is highly complex and requires teams from across the hospital to work together and combine a whole range of expertise,” said Professor Paolo De Coppi, a consultant paediatric surgeon at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital.
But the procedure was a success — and four years later, Rosy and Ruby are ready to start school.
“I didn’t prepare to bring them home. It wasn’t until they were in hospital and they’d had their operation that my husband started painting the bedroom and getting everything ready for them,” the twins’ mother said.

The proud parents said that their girls can’t wait to get in the classroom.
“They’re looking forward to painting, anything messy, they love reading,” their mom told told the Press Association.
“They are very similar… headstrong and very determined, which I knew they were from when they were in my belly because of the way they kept growing and surviving.”

And Professor De Coppi, who saved their lives, was touched by the special news.
“We’re thrilled that Rosie and Ruby are starting school this September,” said Professor De Coppi, who added that doctors have treated 27 sets of conjoined twins at the hospital over the last three decades.
“It’s always a joy to witness patients’ progress and to hear that they are reaching new milestones — this makes the job we do all the more rewarding.”

Baby Caitlin makes an incredible recovery from life-threatening heart condition… thanks to a relic of a Saint Padre Pio placed on her bed

A BABY girl has made a miraculous recovery from a life-threatening heart problem – and her parents are certain it’s thanks to a saint’s RELIC placed on her bed by her dad.
Little Caitlin Dooley, from Carlow in Ireland, spend 25 days on life support following her birth on May 12 – and at one stage parents Kieran and Sandra thought a heart transplant might be the only way to save her.
And they feared the worst when her heart function plunged to a low of 33 per cent.

Caitlin had been in hospital since just 11 days old, when she was admitted because she wasn’t feeding properly. Then, her oxygen levels plummeted from a normal 95 per cent to 60, and then to just 37 per cent.
Dad Kieran explained “Doctors took her and literally went running down the corridor into an elevator with her, to take her to ICU which was on the floor below. It was extremely distressing.”
A day later, the tiny tot was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy – and her condition deteriorated, replacing doctors’ discussions about a possible heart transplant with newfound concerns that her other organs were going to fail.
Kieran and Sandra had Caitlin baptised, knowing she could become even more poorly at any time.‘My waters broke at just 16 weeks – and my baby lived’: Mum ignored doctors’ advice to terminate.

Her dad believes the relic aided her miracle recovery

But then, incredibly, on June 22  “something clicked” and Caitlin made an unbelievable recovery – which coincided with an original relic of Padre Pio, a venerated saint of the Catholic Church.
Kieran said: “Something amazing happened.
“The nearest thing we got to an explanation of the improvement was, ‘Something clicked within Caitlin and she just took off’.

“She has shocked everyone again with her cardiologist telling us her heart function now technically normal.
“People can make up their own minds about these things, but it has made me think.”
On June 27, Caitlin’s heart function increased to around 70 per cent – so she was taken off her ventilator, and the transplant list.
And her dad has also credited Ronald McDonald House, a charity organisation which provides accommodation for families with children in hospital, with playing a part in Caitlin’s recovery.

Kieran said:“I believe it played a major part in Caitlin’s recovery because at least one of us could then be with her all the time – and she absolutely knew we were there.”
He is also planning to run a marathon to raise money for the charity, which depends on donations.
He added: “They need $447,000 a year to keep going.”
